Our Mission

The assignment of Healing Streams International

parallax background

Jesus said,

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

Before Jesus left the earth, He commanded believers to walk as He walked in the commitment to “make disciples.” He revealed that the disciple making process involves three things. They are:

GO:
This word gives us the understanding of taking the message and ministry of Jesus into the everyday world in which we all live.

BAPTIZE:
This word gives us the understanding of believers walking together being immersed into a personal identity that is centered on the person of Jesus Christ.

TEACH:
This word gives us the understanding of believers being developed to the point where they use their uniquenesses to invest in the lives of others.

Here at Healing Streams, we want our mission to reflect Jesus’ mission. In working to fulfill His mission, we are committed to:

Make disciples who are gathering with other believers and growing in their walk with God, are being equipped to know and fulfill their call and are serving others to help them find God’s plan for their lives.

Gathering

- (Baptizing)

And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another...

Hebrews 10:24-25

Growth in our walk with God will be hindered if we do not gather together with other believers. We assist each other in our individual walk with God and together pursue Him for a greater release of His presence in our midst.

Growing

- (Baptizing)

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity.

2 Peter 3:18

Every believer begins as a child and is designed to grow in the character of Jesus, the knowledge of God and His grace that is to be applied to our lives. The normal Christian life is characterized by someone who is in an ongoing growth journey in their walk with God.

Equipped

- (Teaching)

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.

Ephesians 4:10-11

Every believer is called and has a unique design placed within their life. It is God’s plan for believers to discover that unique design, be brought into wholeness and activated to walk in their design. The fivefold ministry gifts are given to the church to assist believers in being equipped to fulfill God’s plan for their life.

Serving Others

- (Going)

As each one has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

1 Peter 4:10

As every believer is called, so it is God’s plan for them to be serving others. As the church, we are all called to work in conjunction with others in helping the saved and unsaved move towards God’s plan for their lives.

Therefore our mission is:

Make disciples who are gathering with other believers and growing in their walk with God, are being equipped to know and fulfill their call and are serving others to help them find God’s plan for their lives.
